Santiago

Right before Heather took this picture Sophia and I smashed heads when we were posing for a lovely shot in front of the fountain. The funny thing is, I like this one better than the planned one that we took afterward, smart thinking Heather : ) Today and yesterday we have been wandering around Santiago with a map in hand. It is hard to believe that all the places we´ve seen are in the same city. The mix of old and new is stunning: super modern skyscrapers right next to old churches and castles. I am really tired though...a lot of walking. Once I get the pictures up they will do a better job of explaining than I ever could. I didn´t know what to expect when I arrived, but Santiago has definitely exceeded all of my expectations. It has been a really nice vacation from school and the rain, but I will be ready to get back to feeling like I live here and speaking Spanish more. We´ve got two more days in Santiago, and then off to the coast!
