A Little About Valdivia

My host dad gave me this great map of Valdivia the other day. It helps explain why everywhere I look I see water. Valdivia is split up into three main parts. I live on the Isla Teja, which is mainly a residential area. The university campus is divided into two sub-campuses; one on the island and the other across the river.  Anytime I go downtown, to the mall, or dancing I cross the bridge and within 15 minutes of leaving my house I'm there, although usually a lot wetter than when I left. The coast is about a 20 minute bus ride away, and I really want to take a trip out there soon when the weather is appropriate. My day today has been pretty low key, I didn't get home until 5 am last night, which is still a little earlier than a lot of people my age. Maybe I can make to 7 am one night like everyone else, we'll see...
