This morning I woke up way earlier than planned, so I decided to take a stroll around Viña one last time. I have always found that my spontaneous crack of dawn walks are the most rewarding because they use time that I didn´t realize I had. There was an hour until the complementary hotel breakfast opened, so I wandered around with aim of taking one photo to insert at the top of this entry. As luck would have it, I found the former dwelling of someone important. I still don't really know who he was or why his house was turned into a museum, but it was beautiful that's for sure. I have thoroughly enjoyed this vacation...Between Valdivia, Santiago, Valparaiso, Viña, and the countryside I am beginning to familiarize myself with Chile bit by bit. I now know that Valdivia is not representitive of Chile as a whole, but that people all over the country have either been or want to go there at some point. When I arrived in Chile I was immediately greeted with torrential downpours and Spanish placement tests, so this felt like a well deserved break to be a tourist in my new home. I will miss all of the new sights and expansive selection of bakery items for breakfast, but I am even more excited to pick up where I left off in Valdivia.
