I just got back from a meeting for "American Corner," which is a program that helps Chilean students at my university improve their English by participating in conversation groups lead by native speakers like me. For an hour and a half a week, I will finally be an expert on something here! Plus, I get to meet students outside my foreign exchange program and help them out. I also want to do another volunteer program where I help teach in an English class at a local grade school because I think that would be a great experience too. I might be kind of busy, but as long as I'm getting to know people I think it's definitely a good thing. I walked around a lot today because it was sunny and semi-warm, which made me really excited for spring here which is coming up!
