This weekend was spectacular. I suppose it was just a combination of a bunch of little things that made me happy. Saturday I took it easy the first half of the day because I was still feeling a little under the weather. But, it gave me the opportunity to sit out on my personal balcony and get some homework done while sunburning my back at the same time...oh well. After that I headed to the local artisanal market and had three quality conversations with three very friendly vendors and ended up buying quite a bit of jewelry and things of that nature. At one of the stands I even shared a traditional argentine drink with the girls that were working and had a lot of fun talking to them about anything and everything. I didn't end up going out last night because I still felt a little sick, but woke up early this morning and went on a run, so bonus points for me as far as I'm concerned. I of course went to another market today...and bought more jewelry. The woman was nice enough to give me one of the pendents she was selling for free because we had such a nice conversation so that left me feeling very happy. Today I also hung and shared a pizza with with a friend I met from my Chile program who is in town at the moment, and as I write this I am listening to the Beegees in an ice cream shop that stays open till 2am, which is probably when I will end of leaving...After all, I have to call it a night early since I have class tomorrow.
