Being in Buenos Aires has felt like one giant vacation. Even though I'm still taking classes, the majority of my day I spend walking around the city, eating out, and...mm well that's about it really. I've met some good friends in the first month of classes who unfortunately will not be here in BA for the next month. However, there are some friendly faces in my new class, and I can already tell that I'll be challenged a little more so I'm excited about that. I moved my flight back to Chile up a few days so that I have a full weekend there before I start my classes. I am still getting very excited to go back...Argentina and Chile are two completely different animals. I love the distinction, but at the same time I miss all the things and people in Chile that I haven't had access to here. 24 days and counting...sigh...But since I do still have a bit of time here, I want to make the most of it, which will conversely help the time fly by. I actually just switched host families, which was probably one of the best decisions I could have made. The other family was not bad, but there just wasn't a personal connection really. I can't explain why but its ok because that gave me the opportunity to know two families during my stay. It is always fascinating to see how people live, and the more experiences I have with host families, the better. My new host mom is a little ray of sunshine and is one of the most independent, happy people I've met. I have so much respect for her and I'd put her up in the same rank as Marcelo's mom regarding overall warmth and wonderfulness, which is not an easy feat. Well, I am going to take a nap now because there is a house party going on tonight that I got invited to. Should be cool, the only thing is that I have class tomorrow meaning it may very well be an al-nighter. I figure that this kind of experience does not come along very often, and as my dear friend Joanne always says, "Sleep when your dead." She's already been to 59 countries in 32 years on this earth so the motto seems to work for her...
