Today for lunch I ate "pastel de choclo" a typical Chilean dish that Marcelo's mom whipped up when she heard that I hadn't ever tried it before. She made it with fresh corn, which I am not accustomed to eating in December...My family is probably at the airport right now getting ready to leave 5 inches of snow for sun and sunburns. I am a little tired because I've consistently gone to bed at 4am 3 nights in a row and it is starting to wear me out. I am looking forward to Christmas with the family, and I think it has the potential to be a Christmas that I will remember for the rest of my life. I know, super high expectations...But at the same time, when was the last time I celebrated Christmas in Chile?
