Today was filled with classes but I learned a lot so I did not mind at all. I ran across quite a few new words to write on my hand to study throughout the day. Today I began filling out my paperwork for the study abroad program in Buenos Aires Argentina, so that got me excited thinking about what could be in store for me this summer! I feel so lucky to have this amazing YEAR to learn, travel, and simply live out my life in another country. Most of my exchange group in leaving for the US in less that six weeks.
I have been trying to get healthy lately...it's about time I figure. I bought rolled oats to eat for breakfast to limit my bread intake a little. I was really wanting to go to the gym this evening but I got into a really animated conversation with my host mom about how we've been eating too much lately and need to get into gear and shape up. Ironically it was because of that long conversation that I was unable to make it to the gym...Honestly though, I figure it was well worth it. Like I've said, I haven't really seen my host family as much now that I spend so much time at Marcelo's house so it was great to have a nice long chat with her and laugh about things. Plus, my weekend of eating was NOTHING in comparison to her and my host dad's extravaganza to celebrate his birthday on the 31st. One night they went to 3 parties in a row and didn't get home till 5am!! Lots of eating and socializing on their part, so hearing about her experience actually made me feel better about mine because I wasn't quite as out of control as them : ) That left me with an hour till I'd head over to Marcelo's house, which was the perfect amount of time to organize my email inbox a little, have a quality uplifting online chat with my dear friend Kat, and write this blog entry. And there you have it. Off I go...
