I had my first encounter with los lobos today aka the gigantic sea lions that live in the river the runs right through Valdivia. Every day there is a fish market and they wait patiently on the bank for the vendors to throw scraps into the water. Judging by the sea lions, pelicans, and people the market seems to be the place to be in the morning. Classes start tomorrow, which means that hopefully then I'll have more reliable access to the internet which will allow me to upload photos : ) Right now I'm using the free wifi in the mall and it's slower than slow but better than nothing. I'm definitely tired from having to live my life in another language all of a sudden but overall really happy. This is what I've wanted to do for a long time and it's great to see myself following through with it.

Ooh ooh ooh can you post a picture of the lobos at the fish market? In two short paragraphs you've already painted some colorful scenes. I look forward to reading more. -- Ann

I love those big ugly grey guys in the river! Do they smell? Do they make noises? This is fun.
