Evening Activities

First of all, I really like this photo because it features food, a telenovela, and my host mom in the background if you look closely. Three things that my life here would not be the same without. When we were watching this episode, a guy who had "died" supposedly jumped out at the woman alone in a room and it made us both scream "Ooooh God!!" and "Dios Mio!!" at the same time. This picture pretty much sums up what we do after dinner on any given day. Although, after dinner last night was a little different because I went out for the first time! I've discovered that dancing solves just about all my problems. It keeps me warm, out of the rain, and learning more about Chilean culture. It's also a great way to spend time with Valdivians because the fact that I can't speak nearly as fast as them doesn't matter. Plus, until my running shoes arrive in the mail it's the best workout I can imagine. I'm pretty tired today, but it was a really cool experience that I'm sure I'll continue throughout the year.
