Well, I found out today that I don't have classes until next week, which gives me a whole extra 7 days of free time. The question now is: hmmm now what do I do?? Well, so far I have come up with a few things. One would be writing in my blog more, although that's only interesting if I have something to talk about...I have been trying to stay in shape, which will be especially interesting now that my host mom has begun to prepare homemade bread. I told her that I was going to attempt a batch tomorrow or the next day, so that would be another activity to occupy my time and assuming it turns out irresistibly well, would lead back to my need to work out more. Also I have been organizing my digital mound of photos on my computer. I had a terrible vision the other day of what would happen if my computer melted and I lost everything. Therefore, I've been putting things up online through Flickr. It's an ongoing project that's for sure, and for that reason perfect for my current circumstances. I also started downloading podcast of radio programs on NPR that I used to enjoy listening to like "The Splendid Table." It makes me so happy to think about food...Of course I can always hang out with people too. Even though they have classes it doesn't mean that they are completely occupied the whole day, so that will be nice. My host mom doesn't work and it home quite a bit so I have gotten to spend some time with her recently. So yep...that's what I'm up too. Not exactly flashy or exciting, but I love it all the same. I feel at home, which is what is most important to me right now. That and getting better at my Spanish, which is another task that I have taken on. I figure I little time reviewing my notes when I eat breakfast can't hurt, right? Plus, with all the Spanish I speak since coming back to Valdivia, I can tell that in the next 7 months I am going to cover a lot of ground in that respect. It's quite cool really. I wouldn't say I'm fluent in the sense that people think I'm from Chile or anything like that, but that's kind of a lofty goal to set for myself. Although I still make errors, I never really have to pause that long when I talk, and people almost always understand me. I can be better though...
