Today after class I went to this rose garden in the middle of a park that I always run to in the mornings. Normally the rose garden is closed at that hour, so I never got to see it until today. I laid down to read on a hard stone bench and ended up taking an intense hour-long nap...go figure. I could tell I was tired but didn't realize it was that severe...I woke up a little disoriented and headed home to get ready to go over to have dinner with a girl from my course and an Argentine she knows through a friend from Australia. We all went for a walk through the neighborhood that he lives in and then ate a slightly overpriced meal that was totally worth it due to the great conversation we had in Spanish with a dash of English here and there about nearly everything. None of us know each other that well, but we all get along great so it doesn't really matter that we've only just met. I got back at midnight, and I'm talking to Chilean friends online and writing in my blog instead of doing my homework, but at the moment I feel very connected to where I live now (Buenos Aires), where I'll be going back to in March (Chile) and where I'm from (USA...duh). So on a personal level I think that this is the best thing to be doing right now with my time. I promise I'll start my homework soon...or at least so that while chatting as soon as I stop writing this blog.
