I know it has been extremely long since my last post and that makes me sad =( I think something happened to the internet in my house because it takes a near miracle to be able to check my email and blog. Thankfully, other sites like facebook funtion OK...If I didn`t have that I don`t know what I would do. I am actually using one of the school computers, which explains why I can even write in my blog and also the weird apostrophe marks.
Well, what have I been up to in the past few weeks?...Quite a bit really now that I think about it. I went up to Santiago and Valparaiso with my friends for a long weekend, which was nice because it was a new environment yet I felt like I could easily find my way around since I`d been there once before in September. I did make the Chinese food like I had hoped and it turned out delicious. I brewed up some potstickers from scratch and chow mein with a homemade egg noodle. Tomàs had promised to help me cook to learn, but he just so happened to get home at 9am that day from a party so he was out like a light until 3pm when I stomped into his room and told him he had to eat the meal I cooked, whether or not he had the appetite haha. It was a big success, and I was so thankful for Alexann, the exchange student that lives with their family, for helping me since Tomàs was a flake. He redeemed himself a little by excitedly eating 3 serving of Chinese deliciousness and kept giving me the thumbs up while he was chewing.
My job is still going really well too! I can`t believe that I make more money than I spend now...As of late I spend way more less time with my host family because I always out and about spending time with people I care about.
I think that`s all for now. I am doing really well. So happy with the way I have handled my experiences here and with the good luck that I have had to know as many nice people as I do. Not sure what I`m going to do now...my class was cancelled so I think I might wander on downtown and see what`s new.
