I think this is probably the longest I've ever gone without writing in my blog, but there are reasons I promise. First of all, I did not feel like writing in my blog when I was in Seattle...Not for lack of blog-worthy material, but rather my desire to spend my precious time there interacting with real people rather than my computer screen. Regarding that trip, I had an excellent time. It didn't make me want to stay in the US where things were nice and comfortable as some people had warned me about, but rather made me appreciate the challenge I accepted in coming to Chile. I really do feel good about everything that I've accomplished here. At the moment I am still a bit tired emotionally. It has been interesting reading everything that I wrote in my blog about the last semester because so much of that has changed this year so it's almost like I'm starting from scratch in certain aspects. Obviously my Spanish is much better than it was the first time around, and I have a better all around awareness of what's going on in my life feel like I play a more proactive role this year rather than just observing others. That feels really good...I am trying to plan out my week a little bit more so that I don't have much free time in the evening at my house because then I get to thinking about how I'd rather be with Marcelo and his family. That plan is going fairly well...I think it will get easier as time goes on too.
